Right now, Victorians of every background are working hard and still falling behind. It's no wonder people are tired and angry.

Some politicians would rather we blamed our neighbours than propose real solutions to the real problems we all face. It's a distraction, and it works for the few who gain when the rest of us are divided.

That's not the Victoria most of us know. Here, we work together, our kids go to school together, and we help new neighbours settle in. That includes people who came here seeking safety, who are now our workmates, our friends and part of our community.

Whether our families have been here for generations or arrived last month, most of us want the same things: a secure home, decent work, time with the people we love and a hopeful future for our kids. We have far more power to win these things when we stand together, than when politicians convince us to blame one another.

In just a few weeks, Victorians will vote in what could be one of the closest elections in recent history.
