URGENT CALLING PARTY: Stop Labor's Anti-Fairness Bill

Join ASRC's Urgent Calling Party to Stop Labor's Anti-Fairness Bill

Join us to keep up the pressure on Senators to vote against Labor's Anti-Fairness Bill.

On Tuesday we called our local MPs and Senators to make our voices heard. However the Bill passed the House of Reps and is now before a 2 hour inquiry on Wednesday night.

Only Home Affairs officials will be able to give evidence at this inquiry - no legal or human rights organisations. This is a rushed, sham hearing and we need to urge Senators to Stop this Anti-Fairness Bill.

Join our URGENT Online Calling Party 10am Thursday September 4.

The Anti-Fairness Bill seeks to make it easier for the government to deport people, by stripping them of their right to procedural fairness and access to legal representation. The Australian Government has also just struck a secretive $400 million deal with the Nauruan Government to deport people seeking asylum.

Our hour-long action will start with a briefing on the current state of play and some tips for making powerful, effective calls to politicians.

We will then call our Liberal Senators and urge them to STOP this Bill. After, we will debrief and discuss next steps.
