Just this weekend, Tony Burke signed a secret deportation deal with Nauru worth almost half a billion dollars. This paves the way for mass deportations - and the Anti-Fairness and Deportation Bill currently before Parliament is the mechanism to do it.
The Bill strips refugees and migrants of their ability to challenge flawed government decisions in the courts. Without safeguards or proper notice, the Government could deport people suddenly.
