Macnamara Candidates Forum

On Sunday, 15th of May at 3pm-4.30pm, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre is holding a Macnamara Candidates Forum on refugee policy and we’d love you to join us.

This forum is endorsed by the Grandmothers for Refugees-Macnamara, Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project, St Luke's Anglican Church and Uniting Church in Australia, Synod of Victoria and Tasmania.

The forum will be moderated by Jana Favero- Director of Advocacy and Campaigns at the ASRC.

All the candidates running in the Macnamara electorate have been invited. So far we have confirmed:   

  • Josh Burns (Labor)
  • Steph Hodgins-May (Greens)
  • Jane Hickey (UAP)

Join us to hear from your candidates as they explain their policies and answer your questions.

Together, let’s make sure our candidates know people seeking asylum and refugees are a decisive issue for the Macnamara community this federal election.
